Charles Richmond Henderson (1848-1915), Baptist clergyman and sociologist, was educated at the old University of Chicago (A.B. in 1870, A.M. in 1873) and at the Baptists Union Theological Seminary (B.D. in 1873, D.D. in 1883). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Leipzig in 1901. In 1892, Henderson joined the University of Chicago faculty.
